First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Not considered to be inhalable although the substance has a
faint odour. If any person feels uncomfortable or unwell in
the presence of the substance, move to area of fresh
air.Seek medical advice if signs of discomfort persist.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash thoroughly with water. If signs of discomfort, seek
medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash area with water. If signs of discomfort, seek medical
advice
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink plenty of water. If signs of discomfort, seek medical
advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, powder, foam and water spray considered
suitable.
Product arising from burning: Oxides of sulphur and carbon will be formed during
combustion. Incomplete combustion may lead to partially
oxidised organic derivatives and acidic gases.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Gloves, goggles and breathing apparatus recommended.
Equipment and protective clothing should be washed with
water after contamination.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Absorb onto sand, sawdust or other suitable material and
dispose as hazardous waste. Wash contaminated areas with
water, avoiding contamination of water courses.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid eye contact. Avoid breathing mist. Avoid trapping
material under clothing.
Storage: Storage area to be equipped with spill collection systems.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Lacquered steel drums
