Description of key information

A study from Evonik Stockhausen GmbH is used in order to give the key value for algae: Acute toxicity to algae: EC50-(72h) > 100 mg/L (nominal concentration, growth rate)

So, 1,5,9-cyclododecatriene shows no toxicity to algae

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

2 experimental results were available in order to assess the toxicity of 1,5,9-cyclododecatriene to algae. However, 1 study could be considered as unreliable due to the insufficient documentation. As a consequence, the study from Evonik Stockhausen GmbH is used in order to give the key value for algae:

Acute toxicity to algae: EC50-(72h) > 100 mg/L (nominal concentration, growth rate)

So, 1,5,9-cyclododecatriene shows no toxicity to algae
