Additional information

One study investigated the toxicity of the test substance Y-15866 to aquatic algae (Weber, 2011). The study was performed according to OECD 201 with green algae, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, exposed to a water accommodated fraction with loading rates of nominal 0.43, 1.3, 4.3, 14, 43 and 139 mg/L for 96 h. The WAFs from 4.3 - 139 mg/L were prepared individually whereas the two lowest loading rates of 0.43 and 1.3 mg/L were prepared by dilution of the 4.3 mg/L WAF. This was due to technical reasons and in accordance with OECD 23. Substance specific analysis of the test item in the test medium was not possible (see IUCLID section 6.6 for further information). Instead, the total organic carbon (TOC) was measured as the sum parameter of the components of the test item to demonstrate the presence of the test item in the test medium. The substance is hydrolytically unstable. Therefore, this study also reflects the possible effects of the hydrolysis products. The test revealed an EL50 based on growth rate of > 139 mg/L. The NOELR was derived to be 1.3 mg/L.
