Reversibility of any observed effect: Changes not fully reversible within 21 days
Other effects:
Residual test material was noted around the treated eye of
all animals throughout the study.
Red/brown-coloured staining was noted in all treated eyes
during the study. This did not affect evaluation of occular
effects.
Staining of the iris was present in 2 of the 3 animals at
the end of the 21-day observation period.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
Category 1 (irreversible effects on the eye) based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The substance is requires H318 due to persistent staining of the iris.
