Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

Endpoint:
adsorption / desorption: screening
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient and the adsorption potential of this substance is related to this parameter
Justification for type of information:
The substance is an inorganic compound and the Partition Coeffficient end point has been waived on this basis.
According to a calculation using EpiSuite, if it theoretically could be measured, this substance would exhibit a LogKow of around -1.39.
It is barely soluble in water at 0.2 mg/l and not soluble in organics such as n-octonol.
Cross-reference
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information
Reference
Endpoint:
partition coefficient
Type of information:
calculation (if not (Q)SAR)
Adequacy of study:
weight of evidence
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
accepted calculation method
Justification for type of information:
Disodium titanate substance (EC 234-802-9) has the molecular formula Na2TiO3 and its composition is expressed as (Na2O)x(TiO2), where x is ranging from 0.1 to 6 according to the SIP. This substance, Reaction mass of Disodium Hexatitanate and Sodium Metatitanate, has a value of x = 0.21, calculated from XRF results, has been identified as a mixture of two specific types of disodium titanate and is therefore within the scope of the disodium titanate SIP. It is assessed therefore that disodium titanate is an acceptable read-across substance for Reaction mass of Disodium Hexatitanate and Sodium Metatitanate
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Calculation using EPISUite
