In the preliminary screening test following the EU and the UN method, the test substance was heated with the flame of a teclu burner. Melting to black clumps was observed. No sign of ignition within two minutes was detected.

The test substance N-(2-Acetamido)-2-aminoethanesulfonic acid; N-(Carbamoylmethyl)taurine (ACES) should be considered as not highly flammable (for EU regulations) and non-flammable solid (for UN regulations), resp.
