First-aid measures

General information:
When in doubt or if symptoms are observed, get medical advice.

After inhalation:
Provide fresh air. If experiencing respiratory symptoms immediately call a doctor.

After contact with skin:
Wash with plenty of water and soap. Take off contaminated clothing. If irritation persists consult a doctor.

After contact with eyes:
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water , occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.If eye irritation persists call an ophthalmologist

After ingestion:
Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water. If feeling unwell immediately call a physician

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:
Water spray, alcohol resistant foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry extinguishing powder

Unsuitable extinguishing media:
High power water jet

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Dust explosion capability can be assumed

Advice for firefighters:
In the dangerous zone wear self contained breathing apparatus and suitable chemical resistant protective clothing.
Emission of irritating and toxic fumes and gases.
Hazardous combustion products: Carbon oxides, Hydrogen Iodide

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid dust formation. Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. Use personal protection equipment.

Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Take up mechanically. Use suitable dust binding material.

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling:
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice: Do not eat, drink, and smoke. Wash hands before break and after work. Provide sufficient ventilation and/or local exhaust system. Avoid dust formation. Do not breathe dust.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Keep in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed.

Provide sufficient ventilation and/or local exhaust system.

Protective and hygiene measures:
Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Draw up and observe skin protection programme. Wash hands and face before breaks and after work and take a shower if necessary. When using do not eat or drink.

The product is stable under storage at normal ambient temperatures.

Disposal considerations

Chemicals and packages as waste must be disposed of in accordance with Directive 2008/98/EC and the respective national and local regulations. Consult your local or regional authorities.
