Reference
Name:
Benzene, 1,1'-oxybis[methyl-, sulfonated, ammonium salts
Type of composition:
legal entity composition of the substance
State / form:
solid: particulate/powder
Reference substance:
Benzene, 1,1'-oxybis[methyl-, sulfonated, ammonium salts
Reference substance:
Benzene, 1,1'-oxybis[methyl-, sulfonated, ammonium salts
Reference substance:
Benzene, 1,1'-oxybis[methyl-, sulfonated, ammonium salts
Reference substance:
Benzene, 1,1'-oxybis[methyl-, sulfonated, ammonium salts
PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Benzene, 1,1’-oxybis(methyl-, sulfonated, ammonium salts is not biodegradable. Therefore, Benzene, 1,1’-oxybis(methyl-, sulfonated, ammonium salts potentially meets the criteria for a classification as P or vP

The range of log Kow values measured by HPLC for Benzene, 1,1’-oxybis(methyl-, sulfonated, ammonium salts are below 4.5 with highest values reported to be slightly above 2. It is therefore expected that Benzene, 1,1’-oxybis(methyl-, sulfonated, ammonium salts does not bioaccumulate and does not meet the criteria for a classification as B or vB.

Based on the available data, Benzene, 1,1’-oxybis(methyl-, sulfonated, ammonium salts is not classified as H350, H340, H372, H373, H350i, H360 or H361. Furthermore, EC/LC50 values for acute aquatic toxicity are above 0.1 mg/l. Therefore, the substance is presumably not toxic (T).

In conclusion, Benzene, 1,1’-oxybis(methyl-, sulfonated, ammonium salts potentially fulfill the criteria for P or vP but does not qualify as a PBT or vPvB substance.
