OECD 110 - Sieving

After the preliminary test, it was shown that the majority of the particles (99.8 %) was between the receiver pan and 1 mm. Thus, the principal sieving was made lower than 1 mm.

After the main test, it was shown that the majority of the particles (85.5 %) was between 25 and 500 µm and 9.8 % lower than 25 µm.

CIPAC MT 187 - Laser diffraction

The particle size distribution of the test material was found to range approximately 0.357 µm to 976 µm.

The following values were obtained for the test material:

- The mean diameter in volume was 213 µm.

- The mean diameter in surface was 22.8 µm.

- The particle size D(0.1) was 15.0 µm.

- The particle size D(0.5) was 163 µm.

- The particle size D(0.9) was 484 µm.

Conclusions:
The particle size distribution of the test material was found to range approximately 0.357 to 976 µm.
The following values were obtained for the test material:
- The mean diameter in volume was 213 µm.
- The mean diameter in surface was 22.8 µm.
- The particle size D(0.1) was 15.0 µm.
- The particle size D(0.5) was 163 µm.
