Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guideline:
other: IEC 60079-20-1, Section 7
Deviations:
yes
Remarks:

Key result
Auto-ignition temperature:
405 °C
Atm. press.:
>= 747 - <= 756 mm Hg

Room temperature: 21 - 22°C Atmospheric pressure: 747 - 756 mmHg Sample preparation: tested as received

The results, giving the lowest ignition temperature and corresponding no-ignition temperatures obtained from five test series.

Sample quantities from 25, 50, 70, 100 and 150 µL were tested at 400°C with an ignition delay > 300 s. There was no ignition observed.

Only when a 50µL sample was tested at 405°C an ignition occured with an ignition delay of 10 s.

Conclusions:
The Auto-Ignition Temperature (AIT) of the test substance = 405 ± 20°C.
Executive summary:

Room temperature: 21 - 22°C Atmospheric pressure: 747 - 756 mmHg Sample preparation: tested as received
