Description of key information

Biodegradation in water: screening tests: Not readily biodegradable: 5% (DO) in 28 days (EU method C.4E)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

There is a GLP study on ready biodegradation according to EU method C.4E on the registered substance itself available, which was classified as acceptable according to the guideline requirements. 12H-Dibenzo[d,g][1,3,2]dioxa-phosphocin, 4,8-dicyclohexyl-6-hydroxy-2,10-dimethyl- has to be classified as "Not Readily Biodegradable". No relevant deficiencies were noted which may lead to the conclusion that the present study may not be suitable to assess the substances biodegradability in the environment. Consequently, no datagaps were identified, the available study suffices to cover the present Biodegradation in water: screening tests endpoint.
