Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Test series:
other: DSC measurement
Method:
other: DSC measurement
Parameter:
other: obervation of exothermic events
Value:
0
Result:
negative, no explosion

Pre-tests: The test substance shrivelled together and colour changed to orange after contact with the flame. After beaten with a hammer the test substance had compacted.

DSC measurement: An endotherm event was observed at approx. 300 °C and an exothermic event was detected.

Up to 500 °C no exothermic event was observed. The test substance is no subject to the classification procedures for self-reactive substances and the acceptance procedures for Class 1 explosives need not to be applied.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
Up to 500 °C no exothermic event was observed. The test substance is no subject to the classification procedures for self-reactive substances and the acceptance procedures for Class 1 explosives need not to be applied.

Description of key information

A DSC measurement according to EU method A.14 was conducted. Up to 500 °C no exothermic event was observed. The test substance is no subject to the classification procedures for self-reactive substances and the acceptance procedures for Class 1 explosives need not to be applied.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive
