Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Measured short term toxicity data with the registration substance are available for invertebrates and algae.

The key values are:

Invertebrates:

A 48 hour EC50 value of >1.5 mg/l (nominal) (highest concentration tested) has been determined for the effects of N,N',N''-tributyl-1-methylsilanetriamine on mobility of Daphnia magna, in compliance with OECD guideline 202, Daphnia sp. acute immobilisation test. Due to the rapid hydrolysis of the test substance it is expected that the organisms were exposed to the hydrolysis products.

Algae:

A 72 hour EC50 value of >3.75 mg/l and a NOEC of 3.75 mg/l (nominal) (highest concentration tested) have been determined for effects of N,N',N''-tributyl-1-methylsilanetriamine on growth rate of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, in compliance with OECD guideline 201, Freshwater Alga and Cyanobacteria, Growth Inhibition Test. In view of the rapid hydrolysis rate of the test substance and the test preparation methods, it is likely that the algae were exposed to the hydrolysis products of the test substance.
