- other: not classified, according to the CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008
- Conclusions:
- Non explosive
- Executive summary:
In the DSC-measurements the test item showed two exothermic effects starting from 160 °C and 430 °C, with an average overall decomposition energy of approximately -460 and >-60 J/g, respectively. Due to the fact that the energy of the exothermic decomposition was below the threshold of -500 J/g in one of the two replicates, further tests on explosive properties were performed.
The test on explosive properties was conducted in accordance with the UN Transport Regulation, Test series 1, 2.
Due to the fact that the test series with a 1.0 mm diameter orifice plate showed no explosion the UN-Transport Regulation Test 1(b) and Test 2(b) deemed to be "-".
Due to the fact that the test item did not reach a pressure of 2070 kPa, the UN-Transport Regulation Test 1(c) and 2(c) deemed to be “-“.
Under the tested conditions, the test item showed no explosive properties.
Conclusion
Non explosive

Additional information
UN Class 1
Justification for classification or non-classification
According to the CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, 2.1.2 section, classification criteria, substances, mixtures and articles are classified for explosive hazard on the basis of the experiment results, obtained in tests conducted according to the test methods described in Part I of the UN RTDG, Manual of Tests and Criteria.
The classification in the explosives hazard class and further allocation to a division is a very complex, three step procedure. The first step is to ascertain whether the substance or mixture has explosive effects (Test Series 1).
The test item gave negative results in the specific tests of serie 1, therefore it does not meet the criteria to be classified as explosive, according to the CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
