- At the 5% level (50000 ppm, v/v), Freon C-318 (octafluorocyclobutane) purified by the procedure used for this sample was not toxic to rats during or after a four-hour exposure by inhalation.
- Executive summary:
Acute toxicity of test material Freon® C-318 (octafluorocycobutane) was investigated in expermital test involving six male ChR-CD rats. Rats were exposed to a unique concentration of 50000 ppm of purified test material in a exposure chamber for four hours.
At the 5% level (50000 ppm, v/v), Freon C-318 (octafluorocyclobutane) purified by the procedure used for this sample was not toxic to rats during or after a four-hour exposure by inhalation.
