Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product. After inhalation: Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of complaints. After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptomspersist, consult a doctor. After swallowing: If symptoms persist consult doctor.Information for doctor: No specific symtoms known.Eyes: Dust may irritate eyes mechanically.Hazards and systemic effects: General information for cyano-compounds: Highest alert!Hydrocyanic acid may be released!Possible routes of intake: Intake by swallowing or inhalation of dust.Chronic effects: No chronic effects known.Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: No specific antidote.Intoxication is determined by formation of hydrocyanic acid.Antidote: Hydroxycobalamine (vitamine B12, Cyanokit (R)).Artificial respiration with 100% oxygen.Symptomatic treatment.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcoholresistant foam. For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishingagents: No restriction in large fires.Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:The possibility of formation of explosive dust/air mixtures under certainconditions should be basically considered during handling andprocessing. In case of fire, the following can be released:Carbon monoxide (CO)Nitrogen oxides (NOx)Hydrogen cyanide (HCN)Advice for firefighters:Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.Chemical resistant protective suit.Under the protective suit a fire protective suit according to EN 469should be applied.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency proceduresWear protective clothing.Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol.Avoid formation of dust.Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.Keep contaminated washing water and dispose of appropriately.Do not allow undiluted product or large quantities of it to reach groundwater, water course or sewage system. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:Pick up mechanically. If formation of dust cannot be avoided userespiratory filter deviceDischarge into waste water channels and biological treatment plants onlyafter clearance with the operating company and in accordance with localAuthority approval.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling: Fill only in dedicated and assigned containers.Keep containers tightly sealed.Store in a dry location, keep away from humidity.Store in a cool location.Corrosion of metals: Test method according to CLP is not applicable (solid material at 55°C).It should generally be borne in mind that there is a possibility ofcorrosion on contact with this material. Resistance should be checked in each individual case.Information about storage in one common storage facility:Store away from oxidising agents.Recommended storage temperature: Currently no data available. It is therefore recommended not to exceed room temperature (max.25°C) during storage over a longer period of time.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Take care of sufficient ventilation. Avoid formation of dust.Respiratory protection: Short term filter device:Particle filter. The filter grade (P1 - P3) has to be establisheddepending on work-place related limit values and the actualexposition.Particle filter. The filter grade (P1 - P3) has to beestablished depending on work-place related limit values and the actual exposition.Protection of hands: Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.Body protection: Necessary protective suit has to be selected individually based on riskassessment.
Stability and reactivity
Thermal decomposition / conditions to beavoided: No decomposition if used according to specifications.Sensitive to Temperature: Protect from heat.Possibility of hazardous reactions: The possibility of formation of explosive dust/air mixtures under certainconditions should be principally considered during handling and processing.Incompatible materials: Strong oxidizing agents.Hazardous decomposition products: Carbon monoxideNitrogen oxidesHydrogen cyanide (prussic acid)Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.
Disposal considerations
Must be specially treated adhering to official regulations.Must not be disposed together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage system.Empty contaminated packagings thoroughly. They may be recycled after thorough and proper cleaning.Packagings that may not be cleansed are to be disposed of in the same manner as the product.Emptied and cleaned containers should be recycled.Discharge into waste water channels and biological treatment plants onlyafter clearence with the operating company and in accordance with local Authority approval.
