Description of key information
Short term toxicity to fish:
Determination of short term toxicity of Butyl (dialkyloxy (dubutoxyphosphoryloxy) titanium(trialkyloxy) titanium phosphate (109037-78-7) was studied on Salmo gairdneri (new name: Oncorhynchus mykiss) for 96 hours and study was performed according to the other guideline Annex V C1 by performing static system.
After the exposure of chemical for 48hrs, toxicity was observed. Based on the mortality of Salmo gairdneri (new name: Oncorhynchus mykiss) due to the chemical the LC50 value obtained was > 10 mg/l.
Based on the LC50 value of Butyl (dialkyloxy (dubutoxyphosphoryloxy) titanium(trialkyloxy) titanium phosphate, it was concluded that the chemical Butyl (dialkyloxy (dubutoxyphosphoryloxy) titanium(trialkyloxy) titanium phosphate was considered as toxic and can be consider to be classified as aquatic chronic 3 category as per CLP classification criteria.
Short term toxicity to aquatic invertebrate:
Determination of short term toxicity of test chemical Butyl (dialkyloxy (dubutoxyphosphoryloxy) titanium(trialkyloxy) titanium phosphate (CAS no.109037-78-7) was studied on aquatic invertebrate daphnia magna for 48hrs. study was performed according to the other guideline Annex V C2 by performing static system.
After the exposure of chemical for 48hrs, toxicity was observed. Based on the immobilization of daphnia magna due to the chemical the EC50 was > 10 mg/l.
Based on the EC50 of Butyl (dialkyloxy (dubutoxyphosphoryloxy) titanium(trialkyloxy) titanium phosphate, it was concluded that the chemical Butyl (dialkyloxy (dubutoxyphosphoryloxy) titanium(trialkyloxy) titanium phosphate was consider as toxic and can be consider to be classified as aquatic chronic 3 category as per CLP classification criteria.
Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria:
Study was performed to determine short term toxicity and Growth Inhibition of Alga (Desmodesmus subspicatus) due to the exposure of test chemical Butyl (dialkyloxy (dubutoxyphosphoryloxy) titanium(trialkyloxy) titanium phosphate according to the other guideline EEC directive 87/302/ EEC p89 in the static system.
Exposure of test chemical Butyl (dialkyloxy (dubutoxyphosphoryloxy) titanium(trialkyloxy) titanium phosphate was given to Desmodesmus subspicatus alga for 72 hrs and auxilary solvent used for the study was 1 % tween in acetone at concentration < 0.1 g/L and EC50 and NOEC value was obtained.
Based on the reduction and inhibition of growth rate of green algae due to the exposure with test chemical, the EC50 was 1.45 mg/l and the NOEC was 0.124 mg/l.
Toxicity to microorganisms:
Toxicity to micro-organisms study of test chemical Butyl (dialkyloxy (dubutoxyphosphoryloxy) titanium(trialkyloxy) titanium phosphate (CAS no. 109037 -78 -7) was conducted for 0.5 hrs under aerobic conditions by using OECD guideline 209 ( 1984) and EC method C11 (1988). Based on growth inhibition of test organism, the IC50 value obtained was > 320 mg/L and NOEC value obained was > 320 mg/L in 0.5 hrs.
