- Details on test solutions:
- 10000 mg test substance/L (nominal) was prepared by using 100 mg/L Tween 80 as a solubilizer and stirring for a period of 2 hours. The corresponding required test concentrations were prepared by taking appropriate volumes of the stirring stock solution. The emulsion appeared milky white and cloudy. Without stirring, dilution water and test substance separated after 5 min. Therefore aliquots were taken under constant stirring.

Description of key information
No activated sludge respiration inhibition study is available on the registered substance (Reaction mass of C12-C13 acrylates, EC Number 911-296-4). However, experimental data are available on an analogue substance (Reaction mass of C12-C14 acrylates, CAS 84238-60-8).
In an experimental study conducted according to DIN 38412, Part 27 (ROBRA test), no significant effects were observed up to the highest tested concentration (10000 mg/L). Since no significant effects were observed, the NOEC is equal to or greater than 10000 mg/L.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- EC10 or NOEC for microorganisms:
- 10 000 mg/L
