2015
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.10 (Flammability (Solids))
Deviations:

Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

The test substance turned orange at the place where the burner flame was applied. But the test substance did not ignite nor smoulder in the period of 2 minutes. After the flame had been put off, only that part of the sample, which was in contact with the flame, was changed.

The substance does not ignite and not propagate combustion neither by burning with flame or by smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 4-minute test period. Therefore the substance should not be considered as highly flammable and no further testing is required.

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
Reactive Violet 1 should not be considered as highly flammable substance.
Executive summary:

Determination of flammability of solid test substance, Reactive Violet 1 was performed. Test was performed according to the Method A.10 Flammability (Solids), Council Regulation (EC) No.440/2008, Published in O.J. L 142, 2008.

The test substance does not ignite and not propagate combustion.

Reactive Violet 1 should not be considered as highly flammable substance.
