- This substance is an inorganic solid UVCB substance. There are technical difficulties on testing because of poor solubility. Therefore, the transformation/dissolution study (OECD guidance 29) was conducted for the substance to identify the most critical and bioavailable constituents of the substance. Based on the T/D study, the HA and CSA focused on the ecotoxicological and toxicological properties of these critical constituents by using the read-across data on the relevant substances. The self-classification was conducted based on the properties of these critical constituents and their harmonised classification entries in the CLP Annex VI. The self-classification was conducted by using the mixture rules of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. In addition, the recent classification and labelling proposals from the 2010 registrants were taken into account if they differed from the harmonized classification entries of regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. The self-classification procedure of this substance is presented in IUCLID section 13. The maximum concentrations of the constituents were used for hazard calculations.
The physicochemical hazards were evaluated based on the chemical structure and the intrinsic properties of the substance. The data exists on the physicochemical properties of the substance. The substance is inorganic solid with moisture content of approximately 15 %.
The T/D study (OECD guidance 29) results were used to derive the environmental hazard classification of this substance. The study results are reported in the REACH dossier for water solubility endpoint but also in the relevant sections in the CSR. The key results of this study are also presented in the C&L procedure in IUCLID section 13.
