Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Test substance is an orange colored powder, solid at 20 °C. The test substance showed no melting and boiling point until 350 °C. But at about 300°C the test substance started to decompose. Average relative density at 20 °C was found to be 1.3500 g/cm³ with a median particle size of 2.475 μm. The vapour pressure was not determined. In accordance with Column 2 adaptation statement of REACH Annex VII, information requirement section 7.5, this study does not need to be conducted if the melting point is >300 °C. The partition co-efficient n-octanol/water at 20 °C was determined as: Pow = 148.1, log Pow = 2.16. The water solubility of test substance at 20 °C was determined to be 31.8 mg/l. The surface tension was determined to be 52.942 mN/m at 20 °C. The auto-ignition temperature was determined to be as no auto-ignition up to 550 °C. This substance showed no auto-ignition until 550 °C and the substance is considered not to be highly flammable and does not ignite spontaneously when in contact with water or humid air. The analyses of the chemical structure of the test substance reveals no alerts for explosive properties. The calculated chemical oxygen balance is below the trigger value of -200 and the determination of the exothermic decomposition energy demonstrated no energy release above the critical value of 500 J/g. Therefore the substance is considered to be non-explosive according to Directive 67/548/EEC and Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 and no further testing are required.

Additional information

In accordance with Section 2 of REACH Annex XI, information requirement section 7.9, this study does not need to be conducted based on the physical state of the substance. According to ECHA guidance, flash point is only relevant to substances that are liquid at room temperature. Therefore the test substance is a solid the flash point was not determined.

Oxidising properties of test substance was not determined. In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, this study does not need to be conducted as this substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials on the basis of its chemical structure.
