A modified HET-CAM TEST (Hens Egg Test at the Chorion Allantois Membrane) has been used to investigate the mucous membrane irritating effects. 1,1,3 -Trichloroacetone showed irritating effects (not quantified in the literature) dowbn to 10 mg/l.
