A study using a standardized OECD 301F ready test guideline is available for hydrocarbons, C6-C7, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, < 5% n-hexane (Shell 1997). Results from this manometric respirometry test procedure demonstrated 98% biodegradation after 28 days of hydrocarbons. Data are read-across to this substance and are sufficient to demonstrate that Distillates (Fischer-Tropsch),C8 -10 -branched and linear, is biodegrade readily and to high extent. No further degradation testing is required.
