Description of key information
No adverse effects of MMVF note Q fibres on plants have been identified. These fibres have been successfully used as growing media in traditional agriculture over decades thanks to their physical and chemical properties. Such use is strictly framed in France, each producer shall prove the safety of fibres in plants to the French national health agency (ANSES). Therefore according to the section 1 of the Annex XI of REACH, OECD 208 (Seeding, Emergence and Seeding Growth Test) and OECD 227 (Vegetative Vigour Test) tests are scientifically not justified..
