Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No experimental studies investigating the phototransformation in air of ethylene diacetate (CAS 111-55-7) are available. Results from AOPWIN v1.92 indicate that ethylene diacetate is susceptible to slow indirect photodegradation in air. The estimated half-life for the reaction with OH-radicals is 34.131 h (24 h day; OH-concentration: 0.5E+06 OH/cm³). Nevertheless, ethylene diacetate is not expected to be present in the atmosphere in relevant amounts based on the and low volatilisation potential from water indicated by a Henry’s Law Constant of < 1 Pa m³/mole and a vapour pressure of 22.68 Pa.
