Description of key information

LC50 (96 h): 6.95 mg/L (meas., OECD 203)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Two studies on the acute toxicity of the substance to freshwater fish are available. One study was conducted according to OECD 203 with Oryzas latipes in a semi-static test system. The nominal test substance concentrations of 3.95, 5.93, 8.89, 13.3 and 20.0 mg/L were re-newed every 24 hours. An analytical dose verification by HPLC analysis was performed. The determined LC50 (96 h) was 6.95 mg/L (measured). A second available test was performed according to ISO guideline 7346-1 (GLP). Zebrafish (Danio rerio) were exposed to nominal test substance concentrations of 0, 5.5, 9.1, 12.5, 18.1, 27.7, 40.3, 57.7 mg/L for 24 h. No analytical verification of the test item concentrations was performed. The mortality of fish was measured after 24 h resulting in a LC50 of 14 mg/L based on nominal concentrations.

However, since the test duration was only 24 h the study is not sufficient and this result is not used for the assessment.
