Description of key information

Several independent sources of information indicate that the melting point is included in a range of 97.78°C  – 97.91°C at 1013 hPa.

Considering a weight of evidence approach, an average value of 97.85°C at 101 325 Pa will be considered as a key value.

Additional information

Several independent and peer-reviewed sources of information indicate that the melting point is included in a range of 97.82°C – 97.91°C at 1013 hPa.

The melting point of the substance is reported to be 97.82°C (Merck Index, 2001) , 97.82°C (Douglas, 1954), 97.90°C (Rengade, 1914), 97.91°C (Meyer et Nachtrieb, 1955) and 97.81°C (CRC, 1987) at 101 325 Pa.

An average value of 97.85 °C will be considered in this dossier.
