Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Leave the contaminated area. Ask for physician.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse eyes repeatedly with water (10-15 min.). Ask for
physician.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and immediately wash skin with
water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse lips and mouth repeatedly with water. Ask for
physician.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder foam and water.
Product arising from burning: In case of fire, it may give off fumes of carbon monoxide,
carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear protecting clothing, respirator, chemical safety
goggles, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Collect the spilt material with appropriate devices in
containers the same as those for normal use.
Rinse with water.
If possible collect the rinsing water and drain to water
treatment plant.
Handling and storage
Handling: Handling is confined to professional users.
As a precautionary measure, protective clothing, gloves and
complete masks are required.
Storage: Store in a cool, well-ventilated area, out of direct
sunlight. Store away from heat and ignition source.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The acido 5-metilpirazin carbossilico is an intermediate of
synthesis which is completely transformed by reaction into
another substance. There is therefore neither possibility
nor necessity to recover the substance.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: The acido 5-metilpirazin carbossilico has no potential
hazardous effects.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: N.A.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Dissolve the substance in a suitable combustible solvent and
burn it in an incinerator with post-burner and scrubber.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Normal biological water treatment plant.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: N.A.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable.
