Description of key information

In accordance with Section 2, Annex XI of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (REACH), it is considered justified to omit a study if testing is not technically possible. According to the OECD guideline, the concentration of test samples should not exceed half the water solubility of the test substance or 0.01 M, whichever is lower. The water solubility of the test substance was determined to be <0.160 mg/L in the submitted study (Baltussen 2013b ). No analytical method was available to support the hydrolysis test at this low concentration level. Therefore hydrolysis testing, as required in Section 9.2.2.1 of Annex VIII, has been omitted on this basis.
