Description of key information

The test substance is an aqueous solution in 40 % acetic acid. Basic Yellow 28 Acetate is only stable in presence of significant concentrations of free acetic acid; it can not be isolated as such.
The acetic acid solution has the more relevant vapour pressure with 20.79 hPa at 25 ˚C than Basic Yellow 28 acetate. The vapour pressure of Basic Yellow 28 methyl sulfate is 3.3E-7 hPa at 25 °C; hence only the acetic acid is inhalable as its vapour pressure is 20.79 hPa at 25 ˚C.
