. Carbon monoxide (CO)
Protective equipment:
. Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases.
Accidental release measures
Person-related safety precautions:
. Wear protective clothing (see section "Exposure controls / personal protection").
Measures for environmental protection:
. Prevent material from reaching sewage system, holes and cellars.
. Inform respective authorities in case product reaches water or sewage system.
. Do not allow to enter drainage system, surface or ground water.
Measures for cleaning/collecting:
. Send for recovery or disposal in suitable containers.
. Ensure adequate ventilation.
. Dispose of contaminated material as waste according to item in the section "Disposal considerations".
. Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders).
Handling and storage
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 18(4) for transported
isolated intermediates. Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering,

Personal protective equipment
General protective and hygienic measures
. Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and food.
. Wash hands during breaks and at the end of the work.
Breathing equipment:
. Filter ABEK
. In case of brief exposure or low pollution use breathing filter apparatus. In case of intensive or longer exposure use breathing apparatus that is independent of circulating air.
Protection of hands:
. Only use chemical-protective gloves with CE-labelling of category III (EN 374).
. Heat protection gloves
Material of gloves
. The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
Penetration time of glove material
. The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.
For the permanent contact in work areas without heightened risk of injury (e.g. Laboratory) gloves made of the following material are suitable:
. Nitril rubber
. Butyl rubber
. e.g. glove of Fa. KCL, www.KCL.de (sitemap): Camatril (art.-no. 731, 730, level 6, >480min), Butoject (art.-no.: 898, level 6, >480min)
For the permanent contact of a maximum of 15 minutes gloves made of the following materials are suitable:
. Nitril rubber,NBR
. e.g. oneway gloves fa. KCl www.KCL.de(sitemap): Dermatril (Art.-No. 740)
Eye protection:
. Gauze goggles
Body protection:
. Protective work clothing.
Stability and reactivity
Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided:
. No decomposition if used according to specifications.
Materials to be avoided:
. -
Dangerous reactions
. Forms flammable gases / fumes
Dangerous products of decomposition:
. No dangerous decomposition products known
Disposal considerations
Product:
Recommendation
. Remove according to local authority recommendations, e.g. convey to a suitable incinerator.
. Must not be disposed of together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage system.
European waste catalogue
. The waste code classification is to be carried out according to the European Waste Catalogue (EWC) specifically for each branch of industry and each type of process.
Uncleaned packagings:
Recommendation:
. Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
