The substance does not undergo hydrolysis at 50°C at pH 4 and 7 but was subject to slight hydrolysis at pH 9 in the preliminary test.

Data on hydrolysis should only be considered for classification purposes if the longest half life determined within the pH range 4 -9 is shorter than 16 days. This is not the case for SymWhite 377 at ambient temperature between 20 -25°C. Furthermore, hydrolysis data were not considered for C&L since it cannot be satisfactorily demonstrated that the hydrolysis products formed do not fulfill the criteria for C&L for the aquatic environment (regulation (EC) 1272/2008).
