Fire-fighting measures
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA
- Suitable extinguishing agents: The product is not flammable. Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire.
ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS
- Protective equipment: Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases.
- Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated firefighting water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS, PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
- Wear protective clothing, ensure adequate ventilation and avoid formation of dust.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS:
- Damp down dust with water spray. Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.
METHODS AND MATERIAL FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING
- Pick up mechanically and avoid the formation of dust. Send for recovery or disposal in suitable receptacles. Dispose of the material collected according to regulations.

Exposure controls / personal protection
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND GENERAL HYGIENIC MEASURES
- The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals. Do not inhale dust / smoke / mist, Avoid contact with the eyes and skin, wash hands before breaks and at the end of work and use skin protection cream for skin protection.
- Respiratory protection: Not necessary if room is well-ventilated. Use suitable respiratory protective device when high concentrations are present.
- Recommended filter device for short term use: Filter P1 and Filter FFP1
- Protection of hands: Protective gloves. The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation: Butyl rubber (BR), Fluorocarbon rubber (Vitron), Nitrile rubber (NBR), Natural rubber (NR) and Chloroprene rubber (CR). Value for the permeation: Level ≥ 120 min. (EN 374), the exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.
- Eye protection: Safety glasses.
- Body protection: Protective work clothing
Stability and reactivity
CHEMICAL STABILITY
- Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications.
- Possibility of hazardous reactions: Reacts with acids.
- Conditions to avoid: Keep away from acids.
- Incompatible materials: Keep away from acids.
- No dangerous decomposition products known.
Disposal considerations
WASTE TREATMENT METHODS
- Recommendation: Contact manufacturer for recycling information. Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
- Uncleaned packaging recommendation: Empty contaminated packaging thoroughly. They may be recycled after thorough and proper cleaning. Packaging that may not be cleaned is to be disposed of in the same manner as the product.
