Key result
Flash point:
128 °C
Atm. press.:
1 013 hPa

The estimated flash-point of the test substance in the preliminary test was 124°C.

The results of the main study on the determination of the flash-point of the test substance are given in Table 1. The difference between the results obtained with the two tests was 6°C. From this, it was concluded that the flash-point of the test substance is the lowest flash-point obtained.

Table 1: Results of the main test

 Test  Flash-point [°C] Lowest flash-point [°C]
 1  130  128
 2  128
Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
A flash point of 128°C at standard pressure was determined in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol, and in compliance with GLP.

Description of key information

Flash point: 128°C (EU Method A.9)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
128 °C

Additional information

A measured flash point of 128°C was determined for the submission substance in accordance with EU Method A.9 and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable.

A flash point of 128°C indicates that the substance should not be classified for flammability according to the criteria of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
