  1. BAM FALLHAMMER: Test Procedure


The test item was placed in the impact device and the 10 kg weight dropped from a height of 40 cm which is equivalent to 40 J. If an "explosion" was observed, the impact energy was reduced to 7.5 J and further tests conducted.

2. BAM FRICTION: Test procedure


The test item was placed on the porcelain plate and the peg lowered. A load of 360 N was then applied and the switch operated. If an "explosion" was observed, the load applied was lowered to 120 N and further tests conducted.
