Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures
EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURES - Seek Medical assistance for further treatment, observation and support if necessary.
Eye Contact: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes, lifting both upper and lower eye lids while flushing. Consult a physician.
Skin Contact: In case of contact, immediately flush skin with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Consult a physician. Dispose of contaminated clothing.
Inhalation: If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Consult a physician.
Ingestion: If swallowed, wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious. Consult a physician or nearest poison center.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguisher Media: Carbon dioxide, water spray, dry chemical extinguisher, or appropriate foam.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Wear self contained breathing apparatus operating in positive pressure demand mode and appropriate clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: Gives off toxic fumes under fire conditions.
Accidental release measures
Steps to be taken if Material is Spilled or Released: Activate your facilities emergency plan. Use absorbent materials to contain the spill. Place solid waste in an appropriate container for disposal. Avoid raising dust. Dike all drains to prevent any fire water run off of this material from entering any sewers. Remove all ignition sources if possible. Place absorbed materials into approved containers for disposal.
Handling and storage
Precautions to be taken in Handling and Storage: Store container in a cool, dry, dark ventilated storage area.
Never handle this material in the presence of any high heat source, flame or sparking machine. Keep product stored over nitrogen. This material is sensitive to light and may decompose slowly upon exposure.
Grounding systems must be used when handling this material. Any system used in processing this material must be purged with nitrogen and a nitrogen atmosphere maintained at all times! As with any solid, precautions must be taken to prevent dust explosions in handling. Keep containers sealed when not in use.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Respiratory Protection: NIOSH/MSHA approved full face respirator for organics, acid gas, dusts and mists.
Protective Gloves: Chemical resistant gloves.
Eye Protection: Full-face respirator.
Wash Thoroughly after handling. Discard any contaminated clothing.
Ventilation: Local ventilation is required for the handling of this product.
Other Protective Clothing: Wear protective clothing and rubber boots to avoid skin contact.
Other Protective Equipment: Eye wash station and shower.
Stability and reactivity
Stability: Stable under normal storage conditions.
Incompatibility: Avoid exposure to light, contact with strong bases, and oxidizing agents.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: Oxides of carbon, oxides of sulfur and hydrogen bromide (HBr gas).
Hazardous Polymerization: Will not occur.
Conditions to Avoid: Contact with moisture.
Disposal considerations
Waste Disposal Methods: Observe all local, state and federal regulations
