First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures:
General information Remove from exposure. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Consult a doctor if irritation develop or persist.
After inhalation Remove victim to fresh air and observe breathing. If the victim is having difficulty breathing, oxygen should be given. In case of
respiratory arrest, give artificial respiration. Seek medical advice.
After skin contact Take off contaminated clothing immediately, wash the skin with plenty of water and soap. Seek medical attention if skin irritation occurs.
After eye contact Wash eyes immediately with plenty of water (rinse for 15 minutes, stirring constantly). Seek medical attention!
After swallowing If the victim is conscious, rinse the victim's mouth with clean water. It is forbidden to give anything by mouth to the unconscious person or to
induce vomiting! Seek medical attention!
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed Not available.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed No specific antidote. Treat symptomatically and supportively.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguishing media Water spray, carbon dioxide, extinguishing powder, foam. Use extinguishing measures that are appropiate to local circumstances and
the sorrounding environment.
Unsuitable extinguishing media Do not use full water-jet when extinguishing.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture CO, CO2, NOx, SOx. Forms explosive mixtures with air on intense heating. NH3 (Ammonia gas)
Advice for firefighters Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing for firefighting.
Fire hazard class Extremely flammable solid or danger of explosion
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
As a general rule, when handling avoid all contact and inhalation of dust, mists, and/or vapours associated with the material. Avoid the inhalation of vapours of substance, contamination of skin or clothing, and getting into the eyes. The use of the precribed protective equipments is required.
Environmental precautions Emissions to the drain, sewer, soil, groundwater, surface water should be
prevented.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
- Shovel up or sweep up the released product and store the collected waste in a suitable, labeled, sealable waste container until it is properly removed / disposed of.
- Avoid dust formation.
- Use non-sparking devices.
- Contaminated wash water should also be collected and disposed of as hazardous waste.
- After proper removal of the material at the scene of the accident, ensure effective ventilation and clean up thoroughly.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Handling Avoid generation of dust. Avoid inhalation of dust. Spark-proof devices apply. Avoid open flames and sources of ignition! Ensure adequate ventilation. The use of personal protective equipment is mandatory. Wash hands thoroughly after use.
Safety measures Suitable general and local exhaust ventillation is needed.
Fire and explosion protection measures Combustible material. Dust/air mixture may ignite or explode. Take measures against electrostatic discharges.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities Store in a cool, dry area. Store in a well-ventilated area. Store in a tightly closed container.

AK Unknown
CK Unknown
MK Unknown
OEL -
OEB/EHC EHC3
Other occupational exposure limit values -
Relevant regulations and recommended monitoring procedures Directive 91/322/EEC (indicative limit values) and its amendments. Directive 98/24/EC (risks related to chemical agents at work) and its amendments.
Exposure controls:
Appropriate engineering controls Suitable general and local exhaust ventilation. Closed system.
Personal protection equipment
Eye/face protection Tightly fitting, chemical resistant safety goggles.
Hand protection Chemical resistant gloves.
Respiratory protection FFP3 dust mask or half mask with suitable filter cartridge OR full face mask with suitable filter cartridge in cases where the substance has
at least one of the following hazard statements: H341, H351, H361, H362, H311, H314, H317 AND is present at a quantity above 500 g.
Personal protection, general hygienic measures Provide equipment for eyes flushing and safety shower. Wash hands with soap and water thoroughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing. Wash before reuse. Wear protective clothes to avoid skin contact. If the handled quantity is above 500g wear full protective clothing in order to avoid skin contact. Disposable 5,6 type overalls recommended (liquid splash and dust protection).
Environmental exposure controlls Dust exposure measurement in the workplace air environment.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity Hazardous reactivity is not established.
Chemical stability Stable at normal conditions.
Possibility of hazardous reactions Unknown
Conditions to avoid Heat, flame, sparks. Avoid dust formation. Keep protected from light. Electrostatic charging.
Incompatible materials Strong acids. Strong oxidising agents.
Hazardous decomposition products CO, CO2, NOx, SOx, NH3
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods:
Disposal of the product related waste Dispose the solid waste or incinerate in accordance of all state and local regulations. Burn the material in a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber.
Disposal of contaminated packaging Dispose according to the state and local regulations.
Relevant community, national and regional provisions Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 November 2008 on waste Directive 91/689/EEC of hazardous wastes.
