Administrative data

First-aid measures

Oral Exposure: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water. Consult a physician.

Inhalation Exposure: If breathed in, move person into fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Consult a physician.

Skin Exposure:Wash off with soap and plenty of water. Consult a physician for medical attention.

Eye Exposure: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water atleast for 15 minutes occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical help.

Fire-fighting measures

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING HAZARDS: Carbon oxides.

ADVICE FOR FIRE FIGHTERS: Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting.

Further information: No further relevant data available.

Accidental release measures

CLEANUP METHODS:

Use personal protective equipment. Avoid breathing vapours, mist or gas. Remove any sources of flame or sparks. Cover with an inert, inorganic, non-combustible absorbent material (e.g. dry-lime, sand, soda ash). Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pickup is complete. Do not let product enter drains. Soak up with inert absorbent material and dispose of as hazardous waste. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal. Avoid release to the environment. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not contaminate water.

Handling and storage

USAGE PRECAUTIONS:

FOR HANDLING:

Do not breathe vapor. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure. Avoid spilling, skin and eye contact. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame.

Ventilate well and avoid breathing vapours. Container must be kept tightly closed. Use explosion proof electric equipment.

Keep in tightly closed original container, away from heat, sparks and open flame. Keep container

tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.

FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT STORAGE CONDITIONS: None.

Exposure controls / personal protection

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Use equipment for eye protection tested and approved under appropriate government standards.

VENTILATION: Provide adequate general and local exhaust ventilation.

RESPIRATORS: If ventilation is insufficient, suitable respiratory protection must be provided.

PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Use compatible chemical-resistant gloves. Wash contaminated gloves before reuse.

EYE PROTECTION: Wear safety glasses and chemical goggles if splashing is possible. Wash contaminated goggles before reuse.

HYGIENIC WORK ROUTINES: Do not smoke in work area. Wash at the end of each work shift and before eating, smoking and using the toilet. Wash promptly with soap & water if skin becomes contaminated. Promptly remove any clothing that becomes contaminated. No eating or drinking while working with this material.

CONTROL OF ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE: Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not let product enter drains. Discharge into the environment must be avoided.
