Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The measurements were conducted on 18. Apr. 2020.

*The test vessel with the test item was precooled to 8.0 °C for the first determination and to 8.7 °C for the second determination.

**Flame was visible

Evaluation and Result

The flash point is given as the mean value of the duplicate determination. The measured flash point is therefore 25.5 °C (corresponding to 298.7 K).

Interpretation of results:
Category 3 (flammable liquids) based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The measured flash point is therefore 25.5 °C (corresponding to 298.7 K).

Executive summary:

The flash point of the test substance was determined under GLP according to ISO 2719:2003 (listed in EU Method A9), a non-equilibrium closed cup method.

A pre-test and a main study with two experiments were performed. The flashpoint value is the mean value of two independent valid determinations.

Description of key information

The measured flash point is therefore 25.5 °C (corresponding to 298.7 K).

The substance is classified according to Regulation (EC) N°1272/2008 (CLP) criteria and is classified as Flammable Liquid (Category 3).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
25.5 °C

Additional information

The flash point of the test substance was determined under GLP according to EU Method A.9 (Flash-Point), using a non-equilibrium closed cup method (ISO2719 -B). It is considered as a key study.

This study is relevant for the classification regarding flammable properties.
