IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes.

Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing (20 - 30 min). Consult an ophtalmologist if irritation persists.

First-aid measures after ingestion:

If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Do NOT induce vomiting.

Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media:

- Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, carbon dioxide, ABC-powder.

- Unsuitable extinguishing media: None known.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

- Fire hazard: Combustible liquid.

- Reactivity in case of fire: On heating / burning, release of harmful / irritant gases / vapours (carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide)

- Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire: Thermal decomposition generates carbon oxides (CO, CO2)

Advice for firefighters:

- Firefighting instructions: In case of fire: stop leak if safe to do so. Evacuate area. Use water spray or fog for cooling exposed containers. Exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire. Eliminate all ignition sources if safe to do so.

- Protection during firefighting: Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection. Concerning personal protective equipment to use, see below.

- Other information: Prevent fire fighting water from entering the environment. Caution: this product can cause the floor to be slippery.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

General measures:

Ensure all national/local regulations are observed. Absorb spillage to prevent material damage.

For non-emergency personnel:

- Protective equipment: Concerning personal protective equipment to use, see below.

- Emergency procedures: Evacuate unnecessary personnel. Avoid all contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Remove immediately contaminated clothing. In case of important spillage: Absorb remaining liquid with sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place. Do not absorb in sawdust, paper, cloth or other combustible absorbents. Caution: this product can cause the floor to be slippery.

For emergency personnel:

- Protective equipment: Concerning personal protective equipment to use, see below.

- Emergency procedures: Stop leak if safe to do so. Contain leaking substance, pump over in suitable containers. Ventilate area.

Environmental precautions:

Prevent entry to sewers and public waters. Contain leaking substance, pump over in suitable container. For disposal of contaminated materials see below at 'disposal considerations'.

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up:

- For containment: This material and its container must be disposed of in a safe way, and as per local legislation.

- Methods for cleaning up: Take up liquid spill into absorbent material. Small quantities of liquid spill: take up in non-combustible absorbent material and shovel into container for disposal. Clean contaminated surfaces with an excess of water.

- Other information: If spilled, may cause the floor to be slippery.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:

- Additional hazards when processed: Avoid all eye and skin contact and do not breathe vapour and mist.

- Precautions for safe handling: Wear personal protective equipment (see below). Emergency eye wash fountains and safety showers should be available in the immediate vicinity of any potential exposure. Keep container closed when not in use. Clean after each use. Ensure good ventilation of the work station.

- Hygiene measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eating, drinking or smoking and when leaving work. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:

- Technical measures: Comply with applicable regulations.

- Storage conditions: Keep only in the original container in a cool, well ventilated place away from: direct sunlight, heat sources. Keep container closed when not in use. Keep out of the reach of children.

- Incompatible products: Oxidizing agent. mineral acids: concentrated sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid. Lewis-acid.

- Incompatible materials: No data available.

- Maximum storage period: <= 18 months.

- Storage temperature: <= 20°C.

- Storage area: Keep in the dark. Store in dry, cool, well-ventilated area.

- Special rules on packaging: Avoid contact with: paper and cardboard.

- Packaging materials: Plastic (HDPE), glass packaging, metal.
