Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Stability:

Hydrolysis:

Based on available data from secondary source, the half life of test chemical (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) at pH 4,7 and 9 is 8204,> 8760 and > 8760 hours repectively. Therefore it is concluded that the test chemical (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) is stable.

Biodegradation:

Biodegradation in water: Screening tests

Two different experimental studies were reviewed to determine the biodegradability of test chemical in water and their results are summarized below:

In first study was based on available data from secondary source,in this the test chemical (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) showed 0 % biodegradation by using CO2 as parameter in 28 days. On the basis of this percent biodegradability value it is concluded that this test chemical is not readily biodegradable.

Further, to support the above study inherent biodegradability study was reviewed from secondary source, in this the test chemical (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) showed 0 % biodegradation in 48 days. Based on percent biodegradability it is concluded that this test chemical is not inherently biodegradable.

By considering results of both the studies mentioned above it is concluded that test chemical is not biodegradable.
