Administrative data
First-aid measures
- Following inhalation:
Consult a doctor if disorders occur.
- Following skin contact:
Wash out with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. Consult a doctor if irritation occurs.
- Following eye contact:
Rince immediately with a large quantity of water. Consult an ophthalmologist if irritation occurs.
- Following ingestion:
In case of important ingestion, consult a doctor.
Fire-fighting measures
- Suitable extinguishing media:
water, foam, fire extinguishing powder, sand.
- Unsuitable extinguishing media:
not specified
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Non combustible substance. Possible emission of gases in contact with fire : CO, CO2, SO2.
- Advice for fire fighter: Do not breathe fumes.
Wear appropriate protective equipment, clothing and self-containing breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
- Personal precautions / Protective equipment and emergency procedures: Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel away from the spillage.
Do not touch spilt product.
Do not breath the dust.
Avoid contact with the skin and eyes : wear protective clothing and gloves.
- Environmental precautions:
Avoid the direct discharge in the sewer or in superficial waters.
In cases of large spillage, dike and contain the drainage
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Take up with suitable material and put in an appropriate container for the elimination.
Aerate places and wash the zone of spillage with a large amount of water.
Handling and storage
- Technical measures : Safety shower and eye fountains near the place of manipulation recommended.
Mechanical ventilation advised.
- Precautions for safe handling and use : For processes where the possibility of exposure arises, wera protective clothing : gloves and shoes.
Avoid the formation and the accumulation of dust.
Avoid any contact with eyes and skin.
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Preserve in a fresh and dry, well ventilated place.
Do not store near strong oxidising agent.
Avoid the contact with aluminium and magnesium at high temperature.
