Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
short-term toxicity to fish
Type of information:
read-across from supporting substance (structural analogue or surrogate)
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2003
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Justification for type of information:
Considering the structural similarities of the substances "Reaction mass of Copper,di-µ-iodotris[triphenylphosphine]di- and iodobis(triphenylphosphino)copper" and "Iodotris(triphenylphosphino)copper" and the almost identical physical and chemical properties, especially partition coefficients and water solubilites, it can be expected that these substances will show quite similar behaviour with respect to short-term aquatic toxicity to fish, too.
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
read-across source
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: OECD 203
GLP compliance:
yes
Specific details on test material used for the study:
SOURCE OF TEST MATERIAL
- Source and lot/batch No.of test material: 219001
- Expiration date of the lot/batch: January 01, 2004

STABILITY AND STORAGE CONDITIONS OF TEST MATERIAL
- Storage condition of test material: dry, room temperature, closed container
Analytical monitoring:
no
Details on test solutions:
The nominal concentration of the test group was 100 mg/l. 400 mg test item and 4 l
reconstituted water were mixed and stirred for about 24 hours. The test item preparation with
the solid particles of the insoluble test item was used for the test.
Test organisms (species):
other: Brachydanio rerio (Zebrabärbling)

 2  Test Item  100  0
Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
In the present study the test item in a nominal concentration of 100 mg/l did not cause any
mortality of fish. The LC50 (96 hours) fish of the test item is greater than 100 mg/l (nominal
concentration). The test item is not acute toxic to fish.
Executive summary:

In the present study the test item in a nominal concentration of 100 mg/l did not cause any

mortality of fish. The LC50 (96 hours) fish of the test item is greater than 100 mg/l (nominal

concentration). The test item is not acute toxic to fish.
