First-aid measures

Description of first-aid measures
- Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.
- Skin contact: Wash off with warm water and soap. Immediate medical attention is not required. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use.
- Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. If symptoms persist, call a physician. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
- Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
- Protection of First-aiders: Use personal protective equipment.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
- Main Symptoms: None known.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
- Notes to physician: Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media.
- Suitable Extinguishing Media: Dry chemical, CO2, sand, earth, water spray or regular foam. Move containers from fire area if you can do it without risk. Dike fire-control water for later disposal.
- Extinguishing media which shall not be used for safety reasons: Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire. Cool containers / tanks with water spray.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
- Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating gases and vapours. Runoff may pollute waterways.

Advice for firefighters
- As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective gear.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
- Do not touch damaged containers or spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Use personal protective equipment.
- Ventilate the area.

Environmental precautions
- Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Should not be released into the environment. Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained.

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
- Methods for Containment: Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Cover powder spill with plastic sheet or tarp to minimise spreading.
- Methods for cleaning up: Clean up promptly by scoop or vacuum. Avoid dust formation. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal. Clean contaminated surface thoroughly.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling
- Advice on safe handling: Avoid dust formation. Ensure adequate ventilation. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not breathe vapours/dust. Wear personal protective equipment. Wash thoroughly after handling.
- Hygiene measures: When using do not smoke, eat or drink. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, or using tobacco. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
- Technical measures/Storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Keep in properly labelled containers.
- Flammability class for flammable liquids (Denmark): Not applicable
- Flammable Liquids Regulations, VbF (Germany): Not applicable
- Flammable product class (Sweden): Not applicable

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure controls
- Engineering Measures: Apply technical measures to comply with the occupational exposure limits. Where reasonably practicable this should be achieved by the use of local exhaust ventilation and good general extraction. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.

Personal protective equipment
- Eye Protection: Tightly fitting safety goggles.
- Hand Protection: Rubber/neoprene or other suitable chemical resistant gloves.
- Skin and body protection: Long sleeved clothing, Protective gloves, Chemical resistant apron.
- Respiratory protection: When workers are facing concentrations above the exposure limit they must use appropriate certified respirators, Half mask with a particle filter P2 (EN 143), The use of breathing apparatus must comply strictly with the manufacturer's instructions and the regulations governing their choices and uses.

Hygiene measures
- Provide regular cleaning of equipment, work area and clothing. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid breathing dusts/vapours. Use personal protective equipment as required. Keep working clothes separately. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace.

Environmental Exposure Controls
- The product should not be allowed to enter drains, water courses or the soil. Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained.

Stability and reactivity

Chemical stability
- Stable under recommended storage conditions.

Possibility of hazardous reactions
- Hazardous Polymerisation: Hazardous polymerisation does not occur.
- Hazardous Reactions: None under normal processing.

Conditions to Avoid
- No information available.

Incompatible Materials
- Strong oxidising agents
- Strong acids

Hazardous Decomposition Products
- Carbon oxides
- Sulphur oxides
- Tin oxides

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods
- Waste from residues/unused products: Dispose of in accordance with the European Directives on waste and hazardous waste. Can be incinerated, when in compliance with local regulations.
- Contaminated packaging: Empty containers should be taken to an approved waste handling site for recycling or disposal.
- Other information: According to the European Waste Catalogue, Waste Codes are not product specific, but application specific. Waste codes should be assigned by the user based on the application for which the product was used.
