Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The melting/freezing temperature of the test substance was assessed according to EU Method A1 and OECD Test Guideline 102 using the pour point method. The pour point of the test item has been determined to be -6 ± 3 °C (267 ± 3 K).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
-6 °C

Additional information

The freezing temperature of the test substance was assessed. During preliminary freezing temperature testing, the test item was noted to become increasingly viscous on cooling. It was therefore considered that the pour point method would be the most appropriate test method.

The pour point of the test item has been determined to be -6 ± 3 °C (267 ± 3 K).
