Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
In case of eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do, and continue rinsing. If irritation persists, get medical attention.
In case of ingestion: if swallowed, give water or milk to drink, and immediately get medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
In case of inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
As the need arises, seek medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media to avoid: A water bar.
Fire and explosion hazards: On combustion, generates toxic gases (e.g., carbon monoxide).
Fire-fighting equipment: Wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Wear protections (e.g., protective gloves, spectacles and gas respirator) during work.
Spill or leak procedures
Environmental precauations: Prevent the spilled material entering into river or sewers.
Methods for cleaning: Recover with a vacuum cleaner, broom and others.
Remove without scattering dust.
Handling and storage
Handling: Wear adequate protections (e.g. protective gloves and goggles, etc.).
Ventilate a work area enough.
Establish a washing equipment for eyes and body near the handling area.
Wash thoroughly hands, face, etc., and gargle after handling.
Storage: Store in dark, dry and well-ventilated place and keep container closed.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Exposure control limits: Not established.
Personal protection
Respiratory protection: It is not always necessary in a normal handling.
Hand protection: Protective gloves.
Eye protection: Protective goggles.
Skin protection: Protective clothing.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity: On heating with alkaline-substance, decomposes forming soap.
Hazardous decomposition products: carbon monoxide.
Disposal considerations
Any disposal practice must be in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations (contact local or state environmental agency for specific rules).
