Endpoint:
vapour pressure
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
7 July - 9 August 2016
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.4 (Vapour Pressure)
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
dynamic method
Test no.:
#1
Temp.:
20 °C
Vapour pressure:
<= 37 Pa

Based on the DSC data, an experimental vapour pressure curve was established. The experimentally-determined vapour pressure of the test item was << 1 mbar at 20 °C which is not in the recommended range of 1 to 1000 mbar for DSC measurements. Estimation using the Grain-Watson method was performed using the lowest possible boiling temperature.

Conclusions:
The test item has an estimated vapour pressure of <= 37 Pa at 20 °C
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of the test item was determined by DSC according to EU Method A.4. The vapour pressue was estimated as <= 37 Pa at 20 °C based on the lowest possible boiling temperature ( Grain-Watson estimation).

Description of key information

The vapour pressure of the test item was determined by DSC according to EU Method A.4. The vapour pressue was estimated as <= 37 Pa at 20 °C based on the lowest possible boiling temperature ( Grain-Watson estimation).

Key value for chemical safety assessment
