Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Explosiveness is not considered to be of relevance for this substance. Ferromolybdenum slags are a solid, glass-like, mostly amorphous material, basically consisting of oxides of silicon, aluminium, calcium and iron, which solidifies from a reaction melt when the temperature drops below ca. 1100 - 1600 °C. This material is chemically inert, thermal stable up to this melting point range and unable to react with oxygen, to burn or to explode. Any explosiveness is theoretically unfeasible.
