Description of key information

Bioaccumulation: aquatic/sediment

Using Bio-concentration Factor (v12.1.0.50374) module, the Bio-concentration Factor of the test substance N-(4 -chlorophenyl)-3 -hydroxy-4 -[(E)-2 -(2 -methyl-5 -nitrophenyl)diazen-1 -yl]naph thalene-2 -carboxamide was estimated to be 112556, 176744, 187457, 188600, 188715, 188727, 188728, 188725, 188697, 188416, 185648, 161857, 70638, 10070 and 851 at pH range 1 -10, respectively. This value indicates that the test substance N-(4 -chlorophenyl)-3 -hydroxy-4 -[(E)-2 -(2 -methyl-5 -nitrophenyl)diazen-1 -yl]naphthalene-2 -carboxamide was considered to be very bioaccumulative in aquatic organisms.

Additional information

Bioaccumulation: aquatic/sediment

Various predicted data for the target compound N-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-hydroxy-4-[(E)-2-(2-methyl-5-nitrophenyl)diazen-1-yl]naphthalene-2-carboxamide (CAS No. 6410-30-6) were reviewed for the bioaccumulation end point which are summarized as below:

In a prediction done by using Bio-concentration Factor (v12.1.0.50374) module ACD (Advanced Chemistry Development)/I-Lab predictive module, 2017), theBCF of the test substance N-(4 -chlorophenyl)-3 -hydroxy-4 -[(E)-2 -(2 -methyl-5 -nitrophenyl)diazen-1 -yl]naph thalene-2 -carboxamide was estimated to be 112556, 176744, 187457, 188600, 188715, 188727, 188728, 188725, 188697, 188416, 185648, 161857, 70638, 10070 and 851 at pH range 1 -10, respectively.

Bioconcentration Factor (BCF) of test chemical N-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-hydroxy-4-[(E)-2-(2-methyl-5-nitrophenyl)diazen-1-yl]naphthalene-2-carboxamide (CAS no. 6410 -30 -6) was estimated using Chemspider database (ChemSpider, 2017). The bioconcentration factor of test substance N-(4 -chlorophenyl)-3 -hydroxy-4 -[(E)-2-(2-methyl-5-nitrophenyl)diazen-1-yl]naphthalene-2-carboxamide was estimated to be 51517.54 at pH 5.5 and 51515.50 at pH 7.4, respectively, which exceeds the bioconcentration threshold of 5000, indicating that the chemical N-(4 -chlorophenyl)-3 -hydroxy-4 -[(E)-2 -(2 -methyl-5 -nitrophenyl)diazen-1 -yl]naphthalene-2 -carboxamide is  expected to be very bioaccumulative in the food chain.

Another predicted data was estimated usingSciFinder database (American Chemical Society (ACS), 2017) was used for predicting the bioconcentration factor (BCF) of test chemical N-(4 -chlorophenyl)-3 -hydroxy-4 -[(E)-2 -(2 -methyl-5 -nitrophenyl)diazen-1 -yl]naphthalene-2 -carboxamide (CAS No. 6410 -30 -6). The bioconcentration factor (BCF) of N-(4 -chlorophenyl)-3 -hydroxy-4 -[(E)-2 -(2 -methyl-5 -nitrophenyl)diazen-1 -yl]naphthalene-2 -carboxamide was estimated to be 60100, 62400, 62600, 62700, 62600, 62400 and 60300 at pH 1, 2, 3, 4-7, 8, 9 and 10 (at 25 deg C) which exceeds the bio concentration threshold of 5000, indicating that the chemical N-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-hydroxy-4-[(E)-2-(2-methyl-5-nitrophenyl)diazen-1-yl]naphthalene-2-carboxamide is expected to be very bioaccumulative in the food chain.

On the basis of above results for target chemicalN-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-hydroxy-4-[(E)-2-(2-methyl-5-nitrophenyl)diazen-1-yl]naphthalene-2-carboxamide(from ACD labs,ChemSpider and SciFinder database,  2017), it can be concluded that the BCF value of test substance N-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-hydroxy-4-[(E)-2-(2-methyl-5-nitrophenyl)diazen-1-yl]naphthalene-2-carboxamide ranges from 51515.50–188728 which exceeds the bioconcentration threshold of 5000, indicating that the chemical N-(4 -chlorophenyl)-3 -hydroxy-4 -[(E)-2 -(2 -methyl-5 -nitrophenyl)diazen-1 -yl]naphthalene-2 -carboxamide is expected tobe very bioaccumulative in the food chain.
