Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

- Endpoint:
- toxicity to terrestrial arthropods: short-term
- Data waiving:
- exposure considerations
- Justification for data waiving:
- the study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely

Description of key information
Only the bioavailable fraction of a substance in soil is decisive for the observed toxicity. The substance is stable in the environment, i.e. trasnformation or dissociation is not probable. Therefore, the substance, when released to the environment will not be bioavailable.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
Additional information
Only the bioavailable fraction of a substance in soil is decisive for the observed toxicity. The substance is stable in the environment, i.e. trasnformation or dissociation is not probable. Therefore, the substance, when released to the environment will not be bioavailable.
No risk to the soil compartment has been identified in the chemical safety assessment. Notable environmental emissions of the substance from human activities are not expected to ocur under the conditions defined in the exposure scenarios. Potential release of the substance to the environment is minimised through appropriate exposure controls and through the form of final articles produced from mixtures containing the substance. Negligible enmissions of the substance into the environment are anticipated with the waste phase of articles if these are disposed of in appropriate landfills.
